Crown has done gym floor work in First Nations communities and on reserve. The hardwood work is the same as anywhere else: recoats, refinishes, repairs, game lines and new installs.
What changes is the planning around it: who makes the decisions, when the gym can be closed, and how the crew and equipment get there. That’s where we put the extra care.
In many communities the gym is also where assemblies, tournaments, events and gatherings happen. We plan the work so the floor is back in use when it’s needed.

We work with whoever you designate
Chief and Council, band administration, the education authority, the school or the recreation director. You tell us who leads, and we keep that person informed from the first call to the last day.
Planned around the community’s calendar
School, tournaments, community events and building access are built into the schedule from the start, so the gym is closed only when it works for you.
Travel talked through up front
Location and travel are part of the conversation from the first call and are included in your estimate. If nearby facilities also need work, ask about scheduling them together.

What’s the difference between a recoat and a refinish?
